Prepare for a Double-Shot of Storms – Snow Tonight & Saturday

BAD WEATHER = POWER OUTAGES
IT’S SPRING and the threat of winter-like weather continues for New Jersey with chances of snow Thursday night and again Saturday with up to a few inches possible in the second storm.
This evening’s potential precipitation will be minor. The National Weather Service says there’s a chance of light snow for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex and Mercer counties.
Meanwhile, there could be more snow Saturday and Saturday night, but the weather service says there’s uncertainty as to how much. Maps project about 2 inches for North Jersey, except around Morristown where 3 inches could fall and an estimated inch could drop on the New Brunswick area. South Jersey could get less than an inch.
A more detailed forecast by the National Weather Service, however, says 2 to 4 inches of snow will fall around Newark on Saturday. Therefore, forecast totals still remain uncertain.
