A recent study was given by Parks Associates on behalf of Coldwell Banker brand within the United
States and concluded that among the 1250 adults surveyed, 71 % want “move-in” readiness! Smart home technology in this particular study was defined as products or tools that aid in controlling a home’s functions such as lighting, temperature, security, safety, and entertainment, either remotely by a phone, tablet, and computer or with a separate automatic system within the home it-self. It is apparent that American’s are ready to get rid of the old and welcome the new innovative smart-home technology.

Within this study of the 71 % whom opted for move-in readiness, 44% want smart-home technology to already be installed, 45% wanted new construction, 74% want the home to have new appliances, 83% want an updated kitchen and bathroom and 85% want updated heating and cooling. (All sample surveys and polls are subject to multiple sources of error.)
The findings of what homeowners are currently searching for and how technology is playing a role in their decision making is interesting and informative. If you are ready to sell your home, consider installing the smart technological products that support in controlling your home’s functions. Updating with new technology may be the answer to increase the value of your home significantly and may help with a solid, quick sale.
