MAKE SURE YOUR GENERATOR IS CLEAR OF SNOW!
It is important that the vents on the sides of your generator remain clear so the generator can both get the fresh air it needs to run and vent the exhaust. Please take a couple of minutes to check on your generator during and after the storm and make sure the vents do not have snow piled in front of them.
Please be advised that if your generator tries to start for an exercise or a utility power failure and cannot, it will go into Alarm status and will not be able to run or exercise until that alarm is cleared. Also if your generator is running and the vents become blocked it will stop running.
